Meg Remy, known as U.S. Girls, has just dropped a new video for her song “Mad As Hell.” The new video, which is directed by Remy and Emily Pelstring pieces together historic patriotic and military imagery. Remy performs throughout the video duplicated in synchronized dance moves flipping off her subjects recalling backup dancers of ‘60s pop girl groups. ”Mad As Hell” is off U.S. Girls’ follow up to 2015’s 4AD-backed album, Half Free.

After completing a solo US tour with Beth Ditto this summer, U.S. Girls will head back out on the road October 6 for a select, ten date run including two Toronto shows October 27 and 28 prior to October 30 at NYC’s Mercury Lounge. Other Canadian stops include, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal and Ottawa. This time, she returns as a massive 8-piece band complete with a horn section and back-up vocalists. See a complete list of dates below.

Iggy Pop gushed, “[Remy] is the kind of girl who could steal your car and crash it, and a year later you’d feel like you’d been involved in something” on his BBC 6 show.
