Sub Pop label mates Shabazz Palaces and The Helio Sequence have just announced a joint 2013 January tour. The trek begins January 18 in Birmingham, AL at the Bottle Tree and wraps up on January 31 in Bloomington, IN at The Bishop Bar.

Both bands are currently on the road. Shabazz Palaces is in the midst of a European headlining tour with direct support from label mates THEESatisfaction. The tour is in Lorient, FR tonight, November 7 for a performance at Festival Les Discplines and ends on November 16 in Dublin, IE at Twisted Pepper. Additionally, both bands will close out 2012 with a hometown show on December 28 in Seattle, WA at the Neptune Theatre.  Shabazz Palaces have also scheduled a one-off headline show on February 1 in Chicago, IL at The Shrine.

Meanwhile, The Helio Sequence’s North American headlining tour is also underway, with a show tonight, November 7 in Iowa City at the Mill and will end on November 17 in Philadelphia, PA at Undeground Arts. Support for this tour comes from Ramona Falls.
