Syd Arthur release new video for “No Peace”

Syd Arthur release new video for "No Peace".

British psych-rock band Syd Arthur release the video for their new single “No Peace” today via Harvest Records. “No Peace” is from the band’s new album Apricity out now on Harvest Records.

Says singer-guitarist Liam Magill, “‘No Peace’ is about information overload. We set out to write an inviting song with a message we can all relate to, a reminder to put down that screen down once in a while and experience something more real. The video’s color palette is orange and grey reflecting the album artwork. The imagery was inspired by social media and the incessant objects that surround our modern existence. Visually we wanted it to have a minimalistic and clean look but with added glitch and static to resemble the organized yet chaotic nature of the world.”

Syd Arthur is brothers Liam Magill, Joel Magill (bass, vocals), and Josh Magill (drums) and Raven Bush (violin, keyboards, mandolin). Formed in Canterbury, England, in 2003, the band has explored the myriad possibilities of improvisation, taking an exceptional approach born of prodigious musicianship, elemental songcraft, and an unabashed spirit of adventure. They have released three albums, including 2014’s Sound Mirror. Syd Arthur has played myriad UK headline shows and support slots alongside such artists as White Denim, Jonathan Wilson, The Pixies, Sean Lennon’s The Ghost Of A Sabertooth Tiger, Paul Weller and most recently a US tour with Jake Bugg.
