SPACESHIPS Announce EP, Share New Track

SPACESHIPS Announce EP, Share New Track "Good Gradez" self-titled EP out November 4th

Spaceships have announced their forthcoming self-titled EP on the up and coming LA-based New Professor Records. This four-song release will hit the streets on November 4th and features the chainsaw riffs of “Good Gradez” which the band shared here. You can see the entire track listing below.

Spaceships, comprised of best friends Jessie Waite and Kevin LaRose, formed one sunny Los Angeles day in August of 2010. They have played countless shows; insulting audiences up and down the West Coast with their brand of brash, noisy, punk and metal-inflected pop.  By punk, they are referring to the LA scene of the late ’70s, and by metal they mean Black Sabbath.

The last year has proven to be especially busy for the band.  Their previous album Cool Breeze Over The Mountains was re-issued on the stoner-fueled label Gnar Tapes (former home of Yacht, Young Prisms, Nude Sunrise, Wampire, Lucky Dragons, etc.), they hit the road for a month with Burger Records-affiliated band DCTV, and they are currently in the midst of a month-long residency at the Melody Lounge in LA.

The new self-titled EP is less than 12 minutes of focused intensity. With ZERO filler, Spaceships present four songs of face melting noise-pop. While it was recorded in a studio, it still retains the same rawness and urgency found in their earlier works that were cobbled together in bedrooms.
