Ride Share video for "All I Want,"

UK band, Ride has released their first album in over 20 years. Weather Diaries is out now via Wichita Recordings, along with the release the band is sharing a new video. “All I Want” is the third single off Weather Diaries, and receives a four minute visual treatment courtesy of director Jade Mortimer.

“I wanted to build a video around it’s pace and atmosphere,” Mortimer explains to Noisey. “On first hearing the track I pictured some kind of journey taking place, so I came up with a simple idea of this character on this journey. He’s running, from or to something, and he’s sweaty, tired, exhausted and in pain. Throughout the video his journey and performance heightens and intensifies. Capturing his emotion with the use of lighting and camera movement, I wanted it to build throughout the track from beginning to end.”

The release follows Ride’s announcement of their upcoming tour across the UK in November, starting off at London’s Kentish Town Forum on November 7th. Full details are below, with the Oxford four piece also calling at Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Produced by Erol Alkan, Weather Diaries is packed with all the classic elements that made Ride one of the defining bands of the early ’90s. Trembling distortion, beautiful harmonies, pounding rhythms, shimmering soundscapes and great songwriting all combine to make an album that’s ambitious in scope, timeless and thoroughly addictive. The album is out via Wichita Recordings and sees the band reunited with label co-founders Dick Green and Mark Bowen, who worked with Ride during the band’s early years on Creation Records. It also brings the band back together with mixer Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers) who mixed their seminal 1990 album Nowhere and produced it’s follow up Going Blank Again.
