Next month, Girl Tears will officially release their debut album Tension for the first time on vinyl and CD on September 23rd via Sinderlyn Records. In anticipation of its release, they will be playing a string of shows on the West Coast supporting Terry Malts. Girl Tears are a punk trio hailing from Los Angeles, California. Kam Andresen, Tristan Ellis and Sal Gabriel formed the band in the fall of 2013 and have been reshaping the contemporary LA-punk scene ever since.
Their debut album Tension (cassette-only release) was written in a week and recorded with Wyatt Blair and Jeremy Katz at Lolipop Studios in just three hours. The songs on Tension, which clock in at a minute or less apiece, cover themes ranging from disillusionment, love, the frailty of life and loss.
