Freddie Gibbs drops “Freddie Gordy” video

Freddie Gibbs releases his new video for the track "Freddie Gordy"

Today, Freddie Gibbs released the Jonah Schwartz-directed video for “Freddie Gordy”. The track is off of his Shadow Of A Doubt mixtape. “Freddie Gordy” captures Gibbs taking a long look in the mirror as he reflects on his career, drug addiction, family, and his continuous ties to the streets. Lines such as “And now the DEA they checking on me when I’m getting on a plane | double life it got me ducking under covers | I just want to be legit man, shit man |
And every time I touch the dope I say that ‘this gonna’ be my last flip man'” and “Plus I got addictions of my own, boy | The pills into laced blunts got me gone, boy | The Oxycontin and heavy syrup got me looking in the mirror saying, ‘Is you a dope fiend or a dope boy?'” articulate the internal battle that wages within himself. The video is tribute to his friend Bay Area legend The Jacka who was tragically murdered last year.
