Alvvays will release their sophomore album Antisocialites in under a month. Today, the Toronto-based group are giving us another taste of new music with the track “Plimsoll Punks”. The song is the band’s answer to Television Personalities’ ‘Part-Time Punks’ and a winking surf opus indictment of the self-righteous who intend to condescend.

The previously released tracks ‘In Undertow’ and ‘Dreams Tonite’ show a band on the brink of releasing their best material yet. Pitchfork notes on ‘Dreams Tonite’ that the “new sound nods to the Chromatics and Beach House, touching upon their moody temperament while fleshing out their emotional explorations.” Rolling Stone praised ‘In Undertow’ writing “Canadian guitar romantics Alvvays mix pleasant noises and chill dejection, and the result is a perfect indie-rock lullaby.”

Alvvays will be touring the world extensively in support of Antisocialites, beginning this month in the UK. The run includes a show at End of the Road Festival and includes a sold out show at London’s KOKO on the release day of Antisocialites.
