Absolutely Free Premieres “Vision’s”


Mminimal-psych trio Absolutely Free has shared the second single from its transportive debut LP out October 14 on Arts & Crafts“Vision’s” is the pinnacle of Absolutely Free.‘s eight fluid movements, with a sonic array and relentless pace framed by thundering bass and a sweet chanted melody.

Absolutely Free also announces coast-to-coast North American dates with Alvvays. The twenty-date tour begins November 8 in Brooklyn, after October shows throughout Ontario tour with The Wooden Sky, including October 17 & 18  in Toronto to mark Absolutely Free.‘s release. Toronto will also be treated to a unique first listen as the band’s masterful debut album will be the subject of a holographic laser listening experience at Long Winter‘s takeover of Bloor Hot Docs Cinema on October 11..

Absolutely Free recently performed original live scores to a selection of classic Norman McLaren short films and animations at the Toronto International Film Festival to celebrate the seminal filmmaker’s centenary. Re-Sounding The Films of Norman McLaren is a rare collaboration with the National Film Board in which Absolutely Free reconsidered they films’ imaginative soundtracks with compositions crafted by the band, including a rousing version of “Vision’s” set to McLaren’s graphical sound opus “Synchromy”.
