From the sunny streets of the South East of England, Get Inuit play dirty guitar pop. Having spent the last 12 months fine-tuning their fuzzed-out live show, supporting the likes of VANT, Spring King, The Magic Gang, PUP, Slaves and DZ Deathrays along the way.
Cracking open with a fizzing, distorted guitar line, Teriyaki then opens up beautifully into a soaring guitar-pop explosion. Recreating the intensity of their live shows (the band produce and record their material themselves alongside co-producer Kris Harris), frontman Jamie expertly navigates his way around raucous guitar movements and pummelling drum work, delivering one of the finest guitar pop choruses of the year, as the line I cant remember who I was before rings out in the memory long after the track finishes.
The new video for “Teriyak” was filmed on a “sunny” beach in Kent, on a particularly un-sunny day. Inspired by The Beach Boys’ famous video for ‘I Get Around’ – the clip eloquently showcases the band’s personality whilst providing the perfect visual partner for the explosive track.
The band formed in 2013 after songwriter Jamie Glass crashed his car into a kerb exiting Dominos Pizza car park with Oliver Nunn. Rob Simpson then came along with a spare wheel, a car jack and a brain full of unused drum parts. They pulled in Robs brother, James, when they realized that they had no idea what they were doing or where they were going.
