Hot Chip have released a video for “Started Right”, taken from the band’s new album, Why Make Sense? Watch the video now below.
The video – directed by Rollo Jackson – finds ‘Started Right’s deliciously warped funk brought to life through its spiritual calling – karaoke – as Alexis Taylor’s tender-hearted lyrics find a new spotlight through the video’s colourful visuals.
Following a sold out UK and European tour, the band are currently wrapping up their North American dates, which included two sold out nights at New York’s Webster Hall where the band were joined by the likes of David Byrne, Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem) and Sinkane for a dance party closing medley of ‘Dancing In The Dark’ (Springsteen) and ‘All My Friends’ (LCD Soundsystem). The band played Los Angeles’ famed Greek Theatre yesterday, as well as visiting KCRW for a Morning Becomes Eclectic session the same day.
