Hundred Waters and FORM have announced the 3rd edition of FORM Arcosanti, a 3-day free-by-application music and arts festival held annually in Arcosanti, AZ, will take place May13-15. FORM was founded by the Hundred Waters family in response to their experiences performing at music festivals around the globe. While most festivals amassed large audiences, the group found that any meaningful intimacy, time for collaboration, and connection to the festival’s environments were often left to the wayside. The founders envisioned something more personal, collaborative, lean, and lasting. Visiting Arcosanti for the first time, they knew they had found the first home for such an experience.
Seventy miles north of Phoenix & south of Sedona in Arizona’s high desert, Arcosanti is an “urban laboratory” focused on innovative design, community, and environmental accountability. It was built by 7000+ student and volunteer residents since 1970 under the direction of the late visionary architect and Frank Lloyd Wright understudy, Paolo Soleri.
Free-by-application, and made possible through patronage and in-kind support, a diverse community of creators is empowered to participate in FORM Arcosanti without financial barriers. Instead, participants are invited for their creativity, thoughtfulness, and intention. The program includes 3 days of performances, discussions, workshops, installations, technologies and activities that celebrate creativity, foster collaboration, inspire new work & perspective, and promote the role of art in public life.
