Cloud Cult has announced a winter/spring 2016 US tour in support of The Seeker, Cloud Cult’s 10th full-length studio album due out on February 12th and is accompanied by a feature length film that stars Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) and Alex McKenna (What Women Want). Kicking off in February with a handful of hometown Wisconsin and Minnesota shows before hitting Minneapolis on March 12th at the State Theater, the tour will ramp up in April, bringing them to most major cities in the Northeast and along the West Coast.
The full-length album serves as the storyline for the film which was written by Cloud Cult vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Craig Minowa, produced by Jeff D. Johnson and Motion 117 Productions and executive produced by Radnor. Select shows along the tour will feature the orchestral rock band playing The Seeker live in its entirety while the movie unfolds on a screen behind them. At these shows, fans can expect a second set later in the night that will include crowd favorites and span the band’s discography.
The Seeker is the first album to be recorded entirely at Cloud Cult’s own solar powered Earthology Records in Wisconsin and was mastered by Jeff Lipton (Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Wilco). Yesterday, the band premiered “Through the Ages”.
