New York band Beirut have now shared their new video for “Gibraltar'”, the opening track on their forthcoming album No No No. You can watch the official video now below.
For the video, Beirut, returned to working with Brother Willis (makers of the video for “No No No”). Interested by the idea of a setting beside the sea and “the massive island of trash which is growing and floating out in the Pacific,” “Gibraltar” follows Beirut leader Zach Condon and band members Paul Collins and Nick Petree picking their way through a fantasy “Gibraltar” to meet its ‘Rock’. The landscape is a world away from its real-life European namesake.
Beirut’s tour begins next month, and with tickets for their only UK show – at London’s Brixton Academy – sold out, the New Yorkers have announced another London show in Hackney’s St John’s Church. Tickets for the show are now on sale.
No No No will be released digitally and on CD and LP from September 11th.
