London Grammar are an English art rock trio formed by Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman. Their debut EP Metal & Dust was released in February 2013 by Metal & Dust Recordings Ltd. Their debut album If You Wait is due for release on 9 September 2013.

Vocalist Hannah Reid and bass guitarist Dan Rothman met in the first year halls of residence at Nottingham University in 2009. Rothman saw a picture of Reid on Facebook with a guitar and sent her a message to see if she wanted to jam. Multi-instrumentalist Dot Major (keyboard, djembe, drums) was added later, after being introduced to the band by Rothman’s girlfriend. The band began by playing low-key gigs at local bars. Several years later, in December 2012, the trio posted their debut single “Hey Now” on the internet. As of July 14, 2013, the song had received over 700,000 hits on YouTube.
