“Bloodshot Eyes” by DWNTWN

DWNTWN recently revealed their video for the new single “Bloodshot Eyes.” The track is off the band’s upcoming debut album Racing Time due out July 21st via Jullian Records. DWNTWN’s Jamie Leffler notes, “‘Bloodshot Eyes’ is written about a time I felt trapped in a seemingly unbreakable cycle, and serves as a reminder that I am the keeper of my own fate. We worked closely with talented director Sean Hollihan to illustrate those feelings though unexpected quirky visuals. It’s unlike any video we’ve created, and I think it’s evident in watching how much fun it was to make.”

In addition to the band’s vocalist Leffler, DWNTWN is Robert Cepeda (guitar and vocals), and Daniel Vanchieri (drums). They have released three EPs to date. Racing Time finds the band barring both their songs and their souls. Lyrically, the LP explores relationships, coming of age, and the loss of Jamie’s father, former Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ bassist Howie Epstein who tragically died of a heroin overdose when she was 14. The album’s release date has added significance as it comes out the day of her father’s birth.
