The synthy dark disco group Candide is currently readying their debut album and they’ve been absorbing a lot of records in the creation process. Earlier this year they dropped their excellent Don’t You Go EP, and in preparation for its followup, they’ve put together this bumping mixtape of influential tracks exclusively for Northern Transmissions. Never staying in just one spot, but while keeping it consistently dark and sexy, the mix saunters back and forth from dreamy synthscapes from artists like Julee Cruise and Woman’s Hour to shifty breakbeats from rapper Cities Aviv and the grubby DJ, In Flagranti.
