“Fuss” by Redspencer

"Fuss" by Redspencer, is Northern Transmissions' 'Song of the Day'

“Fuss”, is the lead track of Redspencer’s forthcoming debut full-length Perks. Perks explores themes ranging from full-blown existentialism to simply “sinking a little beer”.

Recorded to tape out of a makeshift studio in Melbourne’s inner suburbs, ʻFussʼ is full of analogue warmth and character — only bolstered by the involvement of mastering engineer Josh Bonati (Mac DeMarco, DIIV, Wild Nothing). Its jangly guitars and purring synth evoke a heady blend of Yo La Tengo and Ariel Pink, offset by McMillan’s poignant musings.

“When you understand itʻs all out of your hands, youʼll feel so light… If youʼre getting old and you got nothing to show, just let it go…”, McMillan sings over soaring harmonies courtesty of brother Aiden in “Fuss”.
