Zammuto Announces First US Tour

ZAMMUTO ANNOUNCES FIRST US TOUR WITH EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY THIS APRIL

Zammuto-the new project from Nick Zammuto (co-founder & chief composer of innovative collage-pop duo the Books)-have announced their first US tour, playing in support of instrumental rock icons and labelmates, Explosions In The Sky. The trek, which begins mere days after the release of Zammuto’s debut album (out April 3rd on Temporary Residence Ltd.), will bring the quartet to select cities across the Western United States for performances which will be – if their recent sold out show in New York City was any indication equal parts enthralling, awe-inspiring, and joyous.

Deviating from the electro-acoustic sample-based performances of the Books, Zammuto present their music as a fully integrated four-piece band. Nick Zammuto’s (often electronically processed) vocals soar above the foundation laid by his brother Mikey Zammuto’s slinky basslines, multi-instrumentalist Gene Back’s densely layered textures, and the rhythmic foundation of Sean Dixon’s virtuosic brain-warping percussion.
