Yeasayer Expand North American Fragrant World Tour, Fragrant World Set for Release on Aug 21, 2012 Via Secretly Canadian

Following previously announced dates in June, Yeasayer is pleased to announce the North American leg of the “Fragrant World Tour.” Starting this July, Yeasayer has scheduled performances across the U.S. and Canada, including a special show at Rumsey Playfield as a part New York City’s SummerStage concert series.Full tour dates dates below, tickets can be pre-ordered from the band on their website.

The expanded summer tour comes on the heels of the announcement of Fragrant World, the band’s new album due out August 21st on Secretly Canadian. Produced by the band, Fragrant World is seething with sonics that construct eleven outstanding tracks that act together and also in a solo existence. The Brooklyn trio’s first single off the album, “Henrietta”

Earlier this month, the band originally sent 200 random fans physical CDs of “Henrietta” and encouraged them to share and trade the track. Yeasayer wanted the fans to experience the music first and told them so in an accompanying letter. The track went up a few days after being mailed and was picked up across the world in an organic viral method.
