Yak announce 7" EP 'No' on Third Man Records

UK Trio Yak have been quite busy all across Europe these past few months, and this fall will treat audiences to a new 7″ EP produced by Pulp’s Steve Mackey. The No EP is set for release on November 13th via Third Man Records and is available for pre-order now. The lead single and title track is streaming on SoundCloud after premiering today via Noisey who say”This snarly, overdriven cut from the band’s latest 7″ ‘No’ takes cues from Jack White’s roster of blues-rock, but bitten into with a gutter-punk fang and a growling British accents.” In the coming weeks Yak will bring their raw and hard hitting live set to CMJ 2015 for their first ever shows in the US. CMJ schedule and other upcoming tour dates below.

The release of the No 7″ EP follows the London-based trio’s much talked about early singles “Hungry Heart” and “Plastic People”, which came out on Fat Possum earlier this year and made a splash in the US. Following a lengthy UK tour with Peace, Yak will be performing their first ever US shows at CMJ’s Santos Party House (NME show) on October 15th, and The Mercury Lounge on October 16th. On November 13th they take the stage at the Les Inrocks festival in France.
