Wild Belle announce North American tour dates Watch the band’s video for new track “Backslider”

Wild Belle joins the Passion Pit tour. The band kicked off their Passion Pit dates with three nights at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. They will continue to support Passion Pit throughout the southeast until October 24th, where they’ll complete the tour in Gainesville, FL. After a quick trip overseas, the band will return for their co-headline tour starting November 25th at the Cashbah in San Diego. Then they will travel up the west coast, making stops in Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle. Finally, the band will return to their hometown, Chicago, to play the Metro with Of Montreal on December 9th (see full list of dates below).

“Backslider” is another cut from the band’s forthcoming 2013 release Isles. The video, shot and directed by the siblings’ youngest brother Bennet, is an evocative tale of a man who keeps on slipping back into old habits and revisiting old flames. Using projected 35mm film slides from their mother’s travels through Australia, Asia and the American west; it’s these myriad of cultural influences from the siblings’ upbringing that’s reflected in Wild Belle’s music and visuals, including their single “Keep You” and video for “It’s Too Late.”

Wild Belle is Natalie and Elliot Bergman. The band is joined live by Kellen Harrison (bass) as well as fellow NOMO members Erik Hall (guitar) and Quin Kirchner (drums).
