Hamilton Leithauser Releases Video "11 O'Clock Friday Night" His LP Black Hours arrives 6/3 on Ribbon music. Hamilton Leithauser plays 4/15 in New York City

Hamilton Leithauser recently announced the release of his debut solo album Black Hours via Ribbon Musicwhich will be released on JUNE 3rd, a new chapter in the career from The Walkmen front man.  Today, Leithauser revealed the music video for the track “11 O’Clock Friday Night,” which includes vocals from Amber Coffman of the Dirty Projectors. The video, directed by Paul Maroon, sees Leithauser on a late-night ride through the 9th Ward, Marigny, Bywater, French Quarter, and Treme in the early hours of Mardi Gras – before the Bud Light trucks roll in. 

Following the change in album release date from May to June, Leithauser has released an updated touring schedule for Spring and Summer.  All dates below. In addition to a two night stand at Joe’s Pub on the April 15th and 16th, Leithauser will now be performing in Los Angeles at Hotel Café on May 5th – ticket on sale shortly.  All previously announced headlining dates will be reconfirmed shortly to coincide with the new street date. Further to his NYC and LA appearances, Leithauser will also support Ray LaMontagne in several cities this summer including St. Louis, LincolnKansas City, and Chicago.

Leithauser’s band for the NYC and LA premieres of Black Hours will include Paul Maroon (guitar), Morgan Henderson (bass) and Nick Stumpf (drums).

Black Hours brings Leithauser full circle and then some, from lonely midwinter piano-and-vocals sessions, to a loud, live Rock n Roll group and back again.  Featuring Leithauser with a slew of collaborators including Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend), Paul Maroon (The Walkmen), Morgan Henderson (Fleet Foxes) and Richard Swift (The Shins/solo).

Black Hours will be available on CD, standard and limited edition deluxe vinyl via Ribbon Music. Pre-order the album from Ribbon Music or iTunes in standard or deluxe editions and receive an instant download of “Alexandra.” The limited edition deluxe version of the album features a bonus EP of four songs. “Alexandra” will be available as a limited edition 7” on this year’s Record Store Day and comes backed with exclusive b-side “In The Shallows.”
