Trails and Ways are streaming their new album Own It. The full-length will be released this Friday, October 7th ahead of the band’s tour, which starts, October 13th at Los Globos in Los Angeles, CA. The tour includes New York and Brooklyn, NY shows on October 28th and October 29th, respectively, and will see the band – the core duo of singer/guitarist Keith Brower Brown and drummer Ian Quirk, joined by Alycia Lang (guitar/keys/vocals) and Miriam Speyer (bass/vocals) live – crisscross the country before wrapping up on December 3rd in Seattle, WA.

Own It chronicles an attempt at self-transformation through lush, hook-laden songs. At the end of seven months of touring, two longtime bandmates decided to leave, while frontman Keith Brower Brown’s long-term relationship hit its breaking point. The upheaval knocked him flat, and pushed him towards a tough evaluation of his own flaws and how they could have contributed to these collapses. While backpacking across the Sierra Nevada, traveling Baja California and Louisiana, he confronted deep-set selfishness and self-protective vanity in the hope of making something beautiful out of the mess.
