TOKiMONSTA, Known for her unique take on electronic, hip hop, and dance music, has released two full albums, multiple EPs and vinyl-only singles through Ultra Records and Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint. Her 2014 mini-album Desiderium was the first release from her Young Art Records imprint, followed by last year’s You’re Invited joint EP with Gavin Turek. Her latest mini-album Fovere is Young Art’s first release of 2016 and features collaborators including Anderson .Paak, Jonny Pierce (The Drums) and Turek. While TOKi’s needle-pushing music stands on its own, her work with artists including Jessie Ware, Jesse Boykins III and Kelly Rowland, and remixes for Tinashe, and Schoolboy Q.

TOKiMONSTA’s new mini-album Fovere is out next Friday, March 4 on her own imprint Young Art Records, and is set to perform at Coachella among other tour dates. The Los Angeles-based producer just released the latest single from the album “Giving Up,” featuring vocals from The Drums’ Jonny Pierce and bass from Lettuce’s Erick “Jesus” Coomes.

“It was amazing working with Jonny. To see that he was down to work with me in my realm of music just showed me how open minded and creative musicians have become. What he added to the song is far more than I could have ask for,” notes TOKi on “Giving Up.” She adds, “Live music can have a place in electronic music. Erick (aka Jesus) is an amazing bassist. I was waiting for the right chance to have him on a track, and this one was it.”
