TOKiMONSTA just announced details for her album Fovere available January 29

Los Angeles-based producer TOKiMONSTA just announced details for her upcoming mini-album Fovere available January 29 on her own imprint, Young Art Records. First single “Put It Down” featuring Anderson .Paak & KRNE premiered and premiered today.

“Fovere is my most complete work to date. By complete I mean it’s a body of work that is whole and that I’m proud of. It represents my life at the time it was being made–a point where a lot of transitions were being made and I had the biggest personal growth spurt,” notes TOKi. “Fovere essentially means, ‘to cherish’ in Latin. To cherish everything–good, bad, light and dark.”

TOKiMONSTA kicked off her headline Fovere Tour 2015 earlier this month and continues through early December, including a show at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade. Named for her upcoming mini-album, the Fovere Tour features support from frequent collaborator Anderson .Paak as well as Two Fresh and Leikeli47 on various dates.

Known for her unique take on electronic, hip hop, and dance music, TOKiMONSTA, since 2010, has released two full albums, multiple EPs and vinyl-only singles through highly regarded labels including Ultra Records, Ninja Tune and Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint. Her well received 2014 mini-album Desiderium was the first release from her Young Art Records imprint, followed by this year’s You’re Invited joint EP with Gavin Turek. While TOKi’s needle-pushing music stands on its own, her work with artists including Tinashe, Schoolboy Q, Miguel and Jesse Boykins III.
