THE STEPKIDS will continue to bring their futuristic electro soul and soaring harmonies to stages across the country and world throughout the summer. The Connecticut trio just announced a west coast tour with Mates of State, in addition to headline and festival dates both in the US and abroad. They are also currently on tour with former Stones Throw labelmate Mayer Hawthorne and the County. See full tour routing below.

Jeff Gitelman (guitar/vocals) notes of the group’s pairing with Mates of State, “Musically, at times, we share a similar taste for frolic and singing in harmony. And Mates of State are our hometown buddies. They were always very encouraging and supportive of the local scene, which played a big part in helping us believe we can succeed on an independent level as well.This west coast tour is an eagerly awaited collaboration between us.”

In the music they create and the collaborators they work with, most recently pairing with Pharoahe Monch and Homeboy Sandman for a new version of album track “Suburban Dream,” remixed by Union; the live show they put on and the musicians they tour with including The Horrors, Mayer Hawthorne and Mates of State; and the videos they
put out, like the Tom Scharpling-directed, Wyatt Cenac and Kurt Braunohler-starring “Legend In My Own Mind.”
