The Ruby Suns have premiered a new video for “Kingfisher Call Me”, the lead single from Christopher. The clip, directed by Frode & Marcus (Lykke Li, El Perro Del Mar), stars band leader Ryan McPhun as an “earth-hardened Scandinavian immigrant in the forests of Minnesota, during mid 19th century… when something very awkward happens. The video for “Kingfisher Call Me” matches axe-wielding Yeti huntsmen with the song’s organ freakout, while slow-building synths soundtrack peaceful landscape images.

The Ruby Suns have also scheduled European & North American headlining tour dates for early 2013. The tour begins January 25 in Oslo, NO at Revolver and currently ends on March 2 in Brooklyn, NY at the Knitting Factory. Please find a full list of tour dates below. The Ruby Suns Christopher, their fourth album, will be available in North America on January 29, 2013 via Sub Pop on CD, LP and digitally. The album will be released in Europe via Memphis Industries on January 28, 2013. The album was written, performed, engineered and produced by Ryan Mc Phun, mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Grizzly Bear, Gang Gang Dance) and mastered by Joe Laporta at the Lodge.
