The Belle Game have announced an upcoming tour of North America in continued support of their debut album, Ritual Tradition Habit, along with a remix video of the song “Wait Up For You” – watch above. The track was remixed by Vancouver artist STINT with the video “remixed” by video artist and founder of the Bleu Nuit video collective, Rob Feulner. Feulner took the concept of an audio remix and visually applied it to Kheaven Lewandowski’s original video for “Wait Up for You.” Using source footage from various biker films and soft-core erotica, Feulner attempts to deconstruct the male gaze as well as the “drive-in theatre myths and misconceptions of homosexuality. The video was made using an arsenal of VCRs and analog video synths. No digital effects were used in the production of this video.

Ritual Tradition Habit was released in late spring of 2013  but it was second single, “River”, which took off.  The band toured across North America in the fall including the CMJ Music Marathon where Paste caught one of their sets and included them in their “10 Great New Bands Of CMJ“.Ritual Tradition Habit was recorded by John Raham (Dan Mangan/The Be Good Tanya’s/Frazey Ford) and takes the listener on a journey through twelve beautifully layered tracks, interrupted by the occasional chant, hymn and instrumental rumbling.

In addition to the “Wait Up For You” remix video, The Belle Game have made available for streaming, the STINT and Andy Dixon remixes of “Wait Up For You” along with a remix of “Tradition” by 8prn. Listen here via Soundcloud.
