Kristian Matsson of The Tallest Man On Earth has spent most of 2015 sharing new sides of both himself and his work. Not only was his excellent new album, Dark Bird Is Home, a dynamic and revealing look into personal struggles, but it was also accompanied by a series of firsts: his first late night performance on Conan, his first daytime television performance on CBS This Morning, his first international tour with a full band, and now, his first music video that incorporates his dance skills. It’s for “Darkness of the Dream,” a favorite off Dark Bird Is Home, and a song that was not shared pre-release, making this beautifully crafted video all the more special. The film traces the footwork of a choreographed dance spliced with visions of a mossy forest and Matsson’s journey through a rocky valley. Jakob Wallin directed the video, while the cinematography was by Jesper Guldbrand.
