Directed by visionary French filmmaker Sylvain Chomet [The Illusionist, Paris, je t’aime], the “Carmen” video follows an animated Stromae and his accompanying “Tweeter” bird through the darker side of social media. The video, which premiered yesterday has quickly began amassing millions of views within hours of its premiere.

Stromae made his US festival debut at SXSW 2015, where he quickly proved a fan favorite. Stromae kicks off the west coast leg of his U.S. tour this month playing everywhere from Coachella to Lollapalooza. In September he returns for an east coast run and will close out at the famed Madison Square Garden in NYC.
