Mutual Benefit (aka Jordan Lee) will release his sophomore studio full-length, Skip a Sinking Stone, next week via Mom+Pop. After receiving praise for the initial songs shared from the likes of NPR Music, Entertainment Weekly, Pitchfork, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Paste, SPIN, and beyond, Mutual Benefit now presents Skip a Sinking Stone in its entirety via Hype Machine. Managing to retain the warmhearted vulnerability for which Mutual Benefit has become known, Skip a Sinking Stone is Lee’s graceful and patient aural portrait of growing up, and also a two-part meditation on impermanence.

Mutual Benefit’s Skip a Sinking Stone is out May 20th on Mom+Pop, and available for pre-order now. Additionally, Mutual Benefit’s “Lost Dreamers” bedroom session, one of a handful of alternate versions of the album songs recorded as stripped down versions by the band themselves, premiered exclusively via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show.
