Sigur Rós Members Stream ‘Circe’

SIGUR RÓS are excited to share their newest project, Circe

Two-thirds of Sigur Rós – bass player Georg Holm and drummer Orri Páll Dýrason – are excited to share their newest project, Circe, a soundtrack created for BBC’s The Show of Shows documentary. Teaming up with Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson and Sigur Rós’ touring guitarist (and Georg’s brother), Kjartan Holm, the four piece have created an uninterrupted 72 minute instrumental album inspired by 100 years of archive footage of vaudeville, circuses and carnivals.

Written and recorded in just five weeks at the band’s new studio space in Reykjavik, the record displays a looseness, positivity and syncopation from the Icelanders.
The album will be released on Sigur Rós’s own Krunk imprint on August 21st and be available to purchase on double vinyl, CDs and for download.
