Following the release of his EP Samuel last September, DJ, producer and one-quarter of rising French collective Club cheval, Sam Tiba releases new single “Sunshine Pulse” from his upcoming EP Not Dead Yet, for release this October 16th on Bromance Records.

His fourth EP (and second to be released on Bromance), is a produced homage to the French producer’s hip-hop, urban & electronic influences. Traversing from the relaxed, mellow beats “U Just Have to Be U” to the soulful, four-to-the floor house rhythms of “Sunshine Pulse”, Tiba tightly navigates his way from R&B to glitch-hop.

Speaking on the EP, Sam says, “This EP is about hope, about the moment the rain finally stops pouring, and the better days that will follow. It’s the sound of the first piercing glimpse of the sun, and from the intro to the outro, Not Dead Yet is a musical voyage from darkness to light.”

Beginning his solo career in 2011 with his first releases on Marble (the record label of friends Para One and Surkin & Bobmo) and Pelican Fly, before finding a new home on Brodinski’s Bromance Records. in the last four years Tiba has been busy, collaborating with everyone from the Bromance head-honcho himself through to Bloody Jay, Theophilus London (helping co-produce a track alongside Kanye West for London’s sophomore album Vibes) as part of his supergroup, Club cheval.
