Reuben And The Dark Release Debut Album “Funeral Sky”

Reuben And The Dark Release Debut LP "Funeral Sky"

Following the premiere of two videos and tracks, Reuben And The Dark have now released their debut album. Funeral Sky comes out today, May 27th, via Arts & Crafts. Listen to “Rolling Stone” above.

Funeral Sky is the Calgary band’s first full-length album release. Produced by Florence & the Machine drummer Christopher Lloyd Hayden and Stephen Kozmeniuk, who has worked with Madonna Nicki Minaj, and mixed by Jim Abbiss who has in the past worked with Adele and the Arctic Monkeys, the album draws heavily from frontman Reuben Bullock’s childhood as the son of a traveling preacher.

After an extensive North American tour last fall with The Paper Kites, and another month long run with label mates The Darcys and NO in March, Reuben And The Dark are now set to head out on the road in support of Funeral Sky. The tour kicks off in Toronto at the Field Trip Music & Arts Festival on June 7 and includes a stop at Saskatchewan Jazz Festival supporting St. Vincent, as well as appearances at both weekends of the prestigious Austin City Limits Festival in October.
