Redinho Announces North American Tour

Redinho announces new North American tour dates, starting March 12th

Redinho has announced his first North American tour. His summer tour dates include Sónar in Barcelona, as well as a stop at SXSW, with more shows to follow. The tour kicks off March 12th In Brooklyn, NY.

Redinho released his debut album on Numbers at the end of 2014, tipped by Hudson Mohawke, SBTRKT, Mark Ronson, Jessie Ware and Disclosure.

On his first album, Redinho expands on his drum machine-driven ‘80s funk while combining it with other genres, from the chants and drum patterns of Atlanta hip-hop on “Playing With Fire” to the Detroit techno on “Shem,” freeform dreamscapes of “Bubbles,” 707-driven Chicago house on “Going Nowhere” and downtrodden electronica on “Say I Want You.”

It only takes a few tracks to realize that Redinho’s studied the ‘80s, and the sounds and dynamics. But, with links to contemporary pop and hip-hop, the album definitely dives into 2014 as well.
