Newly re-configured as a three piece, Portico (Duncan Bellamy, Milo Fitzpatrick and Jack Wyllie) have unveiedl a brand new song from their forthcoming album. Bordering on the hallucinatory, their hypnotic music moves forwards towards distant places, arriving somewhere between structured pop songs and a disintegrating ambience. “Living Fields” gives you an introduction of what to expect from the trio. The band have also announced that they’ve signed to Ninja Tune. Currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to the full length, with collaborators Jamie Woon, Jono McCleery and Joe Newman (Alt-J) the band said: “We’re really pleased that we’ve signed to Ninja Tune, they have such a rich history of releasing innovative exciting music and so we feel at home here already. Can’t wait to share this new music with you all.” Portico are on tour this autumn, and their new album will be released in March 2015.
