Plaitum today premiere their new video for their new track “MYO”, the track is off their double A-side single “Grace Hits” and “MYO”, out now on Harvest (US) and Wolf Tone. The video stars the band and their friends voguing through the night in a tunnel in north London, soundtracked by MYO’s charged, dark electronic pop.

“Vogue is something we’ve been interested in for a long time,” says Plaitum’s Abi Dersiley. “It’s very hypnotic and satisfying and the inclusive nature of it has always appealed to us. There’s a distinct energy at shows that you feel as soon as you enter that space and we wanted to try and translate that – a kind of structured chaos – in both the song and the video.”

“The director Rich really pushed it to another level,” continues Matt Canham, the other half of the duo. “He totally understood the vibe we were going for – dark, moody, sensual – and translated it to the video. We’re fortunate enough to have some mad talented friends who vogue and who really blew our minds with their performance.”

Plaitum released their debut, self-titled EP last winter, followed by the Jagwa EP this summer. The band have been confirmed as guests to Phantogram on their upcoming UK tour in November and will also play Kamio, London, that month as part of the launch of The Great Escape Festival’s ‘First 50’ artist announcements for next year’s event.
