Peter Broderick – New Video: The Making of These Walls Of Mine

This behind the scenes footage filmed by Alexander Schneider showcases Peter Broderick’s personal involvement in the packaging of his new album These Walls Mine. With the help of designer Torsten Posselt at Feld and Robert Raths of Erased Tapes, Peter created a collectable special edition for his fans. In the early morning hours the three pay a local printing house in Berlin a visit as they print the hand-stitched booklets and assemble the delicate orange special edition boxes. The video was filmed and edited by the same cinematographer responsible for the one-take live studio video of ‘I’ve Tried’ and contains additional shots of all the machinery involved in the CD and Vinyl production, which combined with Peter’s spoken words on album track ‘These Walls Of Mine I’ almost get a human feel.

The front cover is a self portrait taken while Peter was half immersed in a nearby lake, spending a day in the sun with his good friend Nils Frahm who also mastered the album. Besides the lyrics, the booklet contains dozens of cat photographs Peter has taken throughout the years. Like the music, the artwork and packaging show a very personal side to Peter, giving the listener access to his inner thoughts.

Fans can fully stream selected album tracks here and order the highly limited Special Edition on CD and Vinyl – which both come in a hand-crafted orange box including a unreleased bonus tracks, a cat poster, postcard and thread-bound book signed by Peter – exclusively via Erased Tapes here.
