Painted Zeros is a three-piece  r o c k  band. Katie writes songs under Painted Zeros. She records everything in her bedroom/practice space/wherever she can, and mixes it in on her laptop. Jared and Nolan are in the band. The former plays drums live and makes great drumming faces, the latter plays bass and has a fear of intimacy. They all reside in Brooklyn and have long, detailed dreams that they enjoy talking about. They like playing loud music and also like playing quiet music sometimes. Enthusiastic forays into experimental instrumental whatever and soundbyte incorporation. Some influences: Pixies, Broken Social Scene, Yo La Tengo, Pavement, Bright Eyes, Beach House, Neutral Milk Hotel, Jawbreaker, Elliott Smith.
