Of Montreal Announce Daughter of Cloud & US Tour. Nina Barnes + Orenda Fink Collab Harouki Zombi to Release Debut EP

On Oct. 23rd, of Montreal will release their rarities collection, Daughter of Cloud, which compiles 17 of Montreal recordings ranging from the Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? era to the present. Ten of the album’s songs are previously unreleased, while the other seven were originally issued on limited edition, rare or out-print CDs and 7″s.

It will be available on CD, 180 gram cyan colored 2xLP and digital formats. It will also be released as a limited edition of 200 hand numbered purple cassettes by Joyful Noise Recordings.

The band will also hit the road later this fall starting off with the Filter Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles on October 6th and ending December 15th @ Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC. All dates below.

Harouki Zombi – Objet Petit Harouki Zombi, the brainchild of Nina Barnes (of Montreal) and Orenda Fink (Azure Ray), is a self-described “entertainment for the fallen empire.” The duo is set to release their first collaboration, Objet Petit A, on Oct. 23 the EP features 4 original songs and 2 remixes including a track written and produced by of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes (“Vacated Hunters). The EP was produced by Todd Fink (The Faint). Their live show is part DJ/VJ dance party and “neo-pathetic cabaret” performance art. Objet Petit A will be limited to 500 double 7″s and also available on all digital formats.
