Today, multi-instrumentalist Nico Yaryan has released his new single “You Belong To Me”. The track is driven by Nico’s forthcoming debut album, What A Tease, out June 3rd via Partisan Records. Nico Yaryan is also set to open select dates for Day Wave this June.

What A Tease, which was recorded at LA’s Fairfax Studios (FKA Sound City), came to fruition after Yaryan spent two years on the road as the touring drummer for Hanni El Khatib, his close friend from high school. During this time, Nico began writing and recording his own music – which ultimately led to him outgrowing the touring gig – and also led to an unlikely romance with a student from Amsterdam that he met while on the road.

Once he got back to Los Angeles, he immediately embarked on a quest to find work that could help fund a return to his new found love. With mostly experience in retail, an industry that doesn’t take kindly to inconsistent schedules, Nico ended up securing a job trimming at a marijuana farm in Humboldt County, which enabled him to continue the long-distance courtship.

The record chronicles the relationship’s demise and features Yaryan’s lead single “Just Tell Me.”
