Released today, indie-pop melodist MYAMI serves up her striking new single Take Me + poignant music video. Prepare to have all the feels.

MYAMI broke out in 2015 with her debut single Soldier, and Australia started to fall in love, with triple j’s Dave Ruby Howe praising her “…potent combination of slick production and stand-out vocals.”

Howl & Echoes’ premiere of Take Me raves “Sometimes a track creeps under your skin so quickly and so intensely that you’re not quite sure what hit you, but you’re totally okay with that… I can personally guarantee that it’s emotional enough to melt even the iciest of hearts.”

MYAMI’s unique brand of RnB fused with vocally driven electro-pop is once again exceeding expectations with Take Me. With a driving beat from Melbourne producer Wayfarer// that hits you right in the gut, and soaring powerful melodies, it’s an emotionally mature ballad and the most attention-grabbing from the songstress to date.

Take Me is about fear, honesty and vulnerability. It aims to verbalise the things you can’t say in the moment, and as MYAMI explains, it’s “about that numb, mind racing feeling that comes when faced with confrontations that you don’t know how to deal with.”
