Mute Records announce the Festival Mute Mexico 2015
Mute Records has  announced the Festival Mute Mexico 2015, presented by Punto De Encuentro. The festival, on Saturday March 21st, 2015, takes place at Valentín Gómez Farías in Tlaquepaque.

Festival Mute Mexico is curated by Mute founder, Daniel Miller, and will feature live sets from Liars, Ben Frost and Land Observations plus DJ sets from Vince Clarke, Irmin Schmidt, Apparat, Daniel Miller. Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) will perform live as very special guests.Vince Clarke, founding member of Depeche Mode, Yazoo and most recently Erasure who released their latest album, The Violet Flame last summer, will play a rare DJ set while Irmin Schmidt, founding member of Can and recent recipient of a Knighthood – the Chevalier De L’Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres – for his contribution to arts and culture by the French Ministry of Culture, will DJ at the festival as well as collaborating with Daniel Miller for a DJ set and talk at at the Fonteca Nacional in Mexico City on Thursday, March 19th.Liars, who released their latest album, Mess, in 2014 will bring their turbulent and intense live performance to Mexico alongside Ben Frost, currently on worldwide tour following the release of A U R O R A, and Land Observations, who released The Grand Tour last year.

Further DJ sets from Apparat, aka Sascha Ring, who has most recently been on tour with Moderat following the release of II and Daniel Miller, who DJs at Sonar Rekyavik this weekend  (February 14th) completes the Mute line up.

Orchestral Manouveres In The Dark join as very special guests with a live performance. OMD recently released a new album English Electric, and Paul Humphreys remixed Erasure’s “Be The One,” from 2014’s The Violet Flame.

The festival is part of the Dual Year UK – MX 2015, which will see British culture taking part in various festivals and cultural centres throughout Mexico, and Mexican events throughout the UK, as part of a yearlong celebration.

Punto de Encuentro presents Festival Mute Mexico with support of the National Council for Culture and the Arts, and in collaboration with the municipality of San Pedro Tlaquepaque on Saturday March 21st, noon to midnight at the sports unit Valentín Gómez Farías, 7 Diego Rivera Street, Lomas de Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, México.
