Mount Eerie set to preview new double album, "Sauna" on Fall tour

Mount Eerie is approaching completion on a new full length album to be namedSauna due out from P.W. Elverum & Sun in early 2015.  The theme of the album is listed as “vikings and zen and real life.”  It comes after over 15 months of solo production in The Unknown, a studio in Anacortes, Washington housed in a reclaimed church.  There are 12 songs, some very short, some very long.  Not much else is known at this point.

To hear extremely stripped down versions of these new songs, as well as old stuff, he will be playing the following shows on the trans-U.S.A. tour in September:
