Moon King Announces North American Tour with Doldrums

Toronto-based duo Moon King’s new album is “a collection of very sad songs played with all the joy and energy possible.” according to songwriter Daniel Benjamin Their US audiences will get to experience that first hand this spring when the band tour this spring with Daniel’s brother, recent Sub Pop signee Doldrums. Today’s tour announcement comes on the heels of of UK dates for the Toronto duo, which saw them play venues as part of their UK and European tour with fellow Canadian breakouts Alvvays.

Moon Duo will will play songs of their debut album Secret Life for North American crowds on their forthcoming tour. The LP comes out on Last Gang Records worldwide April 14th.

Moon King recently shared their new single “Apocalypse.” A regular live opener, “Apocalypse.” The song Begins with the confession “somehow I feel no release when I’m alone with anyone else / somehow I fall to pieces when I wake up to nothing where you should be”, the song builds in intensity and speed until overflowing in a rush of cathartic noise.
