MMOTHS announces debut full-length Luneworks

MMOTHS announces new album Luneworks, out March 11 on OYAE / Because Music.

MMOTHS is the project of Irish musician and producer Jack Colleran. With 2 EPs under his belt – the self-titled MMOTHS EP (2012) and Diaries (2013) – and previous tour support for The xx, MMOTHS returns with news of his debut full-length record Luneworks, available March 11th via his label OYAE in conjunction with Because Music. Watch the video for “deu” now, the first single from the LP, directed by Hassan Rahim and Scott J. Ross.

Luneworks is the end result of an important moment in MMOTHS life. Ignited by a time of personal upheaval, MMOTHS left Ireland and set his sights westward, settling in Los Angeles with nothing but his laptop, a few changes of clothes and a determination to write & finish his record.

The end result was a month of self-imposed isolation and long twelve hour nights in the studio, distilling the sound to reach the pure spirit of what became Luneworks. At times brutal, with other moments steeped in beauty, Luneworks is a gorgeous, wordless expression of unedited and unfiltered emotion, while paying homage to the ancestral and ethereal spirit of Ireland.
