Mikal Cronin Tours In Support Of MCII

Mikal Cronin to release new Album on Merge, reveals Tour dates
Mikal Cronin will release his Merge debut MCII on May 7 in the US and May 14 in Europe. Today, Mikal announced full band tour dates beginning May 23 in San Diego and continuing through June 29 in Tucson, AZ. In addition to the new tour dates this summer, Mikal and his band will be at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX March 14-16 including the Merge Records showcase on Thursday, March 14 at the Parish.

Recorded in late 2012 by Eric Bauer at Bauer Mansion in San Francisco (except for “Don’t Let Me Go” which was recorded by Cronin at home), MCII is all Mikal. With the few exceptions noted earlier, he played all of the instruments, overdubbing himself. “It all makes total sense to me, but when I step back, it sounds kind of schizophrenic,” Cronin says. “Hopefully it all sounds enough like me to make sense.”
