Meat Wave Release New Video for “Sham King”

Meat Wave share their new video for the single "Sham King," from their EP 'Brother,'

Today, Meat Wave debut their video for “Sham King.” Directed by Andrew Robert Morrison, the clip follows the Chicago trio as they’re stalked by a grim reaper copycat – or so one would assume given the track’s title – who attempts to lead the Meat Wave boys to a rather grisly fate.

Meat Wave are playing a few one-off dates over the next week: two in New York including one opening for Perfect Pussy at Baby’s All Right, then hitting Columbus and Champaign on the way home to a Chicago gig at Friendzone.

“Sham King” is one of two new songs that are featured on the Brother EP, which also includes two previously unreleased demos (“The Truth” and “I’ve Got Ants”), two songs from their 2012 self-released self-titled album (“It’s Not Alright” and the titular “Brother”) and a cover of the Wipers’ “Mystery.” Meat Wave is currently working on a new album to be released later in 2015.

Coming off the back of a UK run that included two London shows. Meat Wave is headed to the UK once again in May for their second run of dates overseas. The shows – which include the band’s first appearance at The Great Escape in Brighton – will also include the band’s debut appearances on the continent, with shows taking place in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
