Mean Creek Premiere Single For “My Madeline”

Mean Creek Premiere Single For "My Madeline". Mean Creek's upcoming album Local Losers, is due out via Old Flame on 4/8. The band will play SXSW this March.

Mean Creek have debuted their latest single “My Madeline”. You can stream and share the track via Soundcloud here. Their previous video for “Cool Town”, a sly take on Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” video, can be seen right here. Both tracks appear on the band’s forthcoming LPLocal Losers, due out via Old Flame on April 8th.

The four members of Mean Creek all grew up together in Massachusetts. Listening to similar sounds from the area, they come from a long tradition of Massachusetts bands who also embraced punk inspired rock music; Mission Of Burma, Pixies, The Lemonheads, Dinosaur Jr. – all of these bands left a lasting impact on the members of Mean Creek.

“Local Losers” is the latest offering from the band. Eight tracks that go by at break neck speed, played with the kind of desperation & force only a young. These are songs about love, confusion, loneliness, and heartbreak. Throughout all of life’s ups and downs, two things have always held true for these four, their music and friendship. It’s the sounds, ideas, and emotions that they create when they are in a room together, and that is what this album is all about.
